Child’s Oak and Sycamore Chair

My little son was 1 year old last week! I made this chair for his birthday, it’s oak with a sycamore seat and based on a lovely rustic oak piece in Carmarthenshire Museum in Abergwili that was made in Alltwalis, not far from our home.

Welsh Oak Bench for Two

This heavyweight outdoor bench was made from a piece of oak that had a special significance for the customer. The piece had been brought to the current property from a former, much beloved location where there had been 15 acres of native west Wales broadleaf woodland.

Library Stool Commission

This new commission has replaced the damaged seat of a salvaged library stool with a beautiful piece of west Wales ash wood to create a multi purpose piece of furniture for a personal library.

The customer wanted the piece to be able to be used as a small table, a stool or an occasional step to reach the higher shelves. This simple solution really highlights the beauty of the wood grain and will slowly gather the rich patina of use in its new home.
